Bishop’s School of Ministry was created for the training and discipleship of Christian saints who desire to see the Holy Spirit move in their life, family, workplace, and church. Because of this, BSOM is not seeking accreditation from any regional or national agency. We operate from the State of South Carolina and are requesting formal recognition from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education as an exempt institution whose sole purpose is religious and theological training.
This means the degrees offered through Bishop School of Ministry are non-academic in nature and cannot be used to qualify a recipient for licensure of certification with the state or other professional associations outside of the church world.
BSOM does not award Arts, Science, or Applied Science degrees. The degree offered at this current time is limited to an Associates of Christian Discipleship. This degree is purely religious in nature.
Denominations and individual churches have the sole discretion for deciding if they will honor a degree earned through Bishop’s School of Ministry.
If Bishop Walter decides in the future to pursue accreditation with a Theological Accrediting Agency, it will be posted on this page.
Bishop's School of Ministry is not recognized by the U. S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Bishop’s School of Ministry is the sole provider of ministerial training for Veritas Church Ministerial Fellowship. The Fellowship has three levels of ministerial recognition which require hands on training from Bishop Walter, the Veritas Pastoral Council, as well as the bishop’s personal leadership team.
Completing the Certificate in Christian Discipleship will qualify you to apply for recognition as a Certified Minister of the Gospel which carries the title of Minister.
